Hypnosis is a focused state of awareness. We go in and out of hypnosis all day- while we are driving, listening to music, watching TV, etc… You can literally see how it works by merely paying attention to when it feels like you’re in a trance state throughout the day. You are completely aware, but somehow you zoned out and went into the subconscious part of your mind where all of you memories, behaviors, and association are stored. It’s crazy to think that we can go in and out of different parts of our mind and not even be aware of it. Wouldn’t it be nice to understand who you are, why you behave in a certain way, why you do some of the things you do? These are only some of the reasons I became a Hypnotherapist. I BELIEVE strongly in the power of the subconscious mind. Anything we have learned, we can unlearn. Anything we want to learn can be done by programming our mind to do so. You know the saying “You can’t teach an old dog new tricks?” Well I can assure you this isn’t the case for humans. We can change anything we want with the right mindset and assistance from someone who cares and knows what they are doing. Want to have confidence to go out and dance? Or learn to say no? A hypnotherapist can work with the subconscious mind in order to help you make the changes in your life that you haven’t been able to do on your own. You are completely aware of what is happening and you cannot do or say anything that you would in your complete awake state.
